Cancellation & Refund Policy 

 

This Policy is a binding part of the FLSA Policy applicable to use of the Services and the Platform. Please read this Policy carefully. You may not use the Platform or Services if you do not agree to this Policy.

This Cancellation & Refund Policy covers all cancellations, rescheduling and refunds on the Platform and applies to all Bookings made through the Platform. Both the Filmmaker and the Host are subject to and must comply with this Policy when cancelling a Booking. Filming Locations may amend this Policy for any reason and at any time by posting an updated version on the Platform.

Every Booking is a Host’s commitment to make a Location available to a Filmmaker. When a Filmmaker cancela Bookings, the Host’s ability to Book that Location during that time becomes increasingly difficult because other interested Filmmakers may have already made other plans. Same applies when a Host wants to cancel a Booking, Filmmaker’s Shoot can be greatly impacted and have significant financial losses. 


 

Cancellation Process

When a Filmmaker wants to cancel the Booking, they must submit a request via Contact Us or use Whatsapp Chat Box on our Platform.

If Filmmaker cancelling Booking of multi-days booking cancellation will apply for the beginning of each day. A Booking is only officially cancelled once the Filmmaker has received confirmation of the cancellation from Filming Locations.

The payment will be returned to the Filmmaker within 7 days and the amount of refund will be very depending on the policy chosen by Host, Filming Locations Fees and Filming Locations Fees. If the Host wants to cancel they may do so only via Contact Us form, more information about cancellation by Host please see below.
 

Cancellation of Bookings that applies to Filmmakers (chosen by Hosts)

Loyalty Policy

From 90 up to 2 days: The Filmmaker may cancel their booking up to 2 days prior to the shooting start time and receive 100% refund (excluding Filming Locations Fees & Processing Fees) of the Booking Price.

From 2 up to 1 day: The Filmmaker may cancel their booking up to 24 hours prior to the shooting start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Filming Locations Fees & Processing Fees) of the Booking Price.

Less than 24 hours: Cancellation of the booking submitted less than 24 hours prior to the shooting start time is non-refundable.

 

Standard Policy

From 90 up to 14 days: The Filmmakers may cancel their booking up to 14 days prior to the shooting start time and receive a full 100% refund of the Booking Price including all Fees.

From 14 up to 7 days: The Filmmakers may cancel their booking up to 7 days prior to the shooting start time and receive a full 100% refund of the Booking Price (excluding Filming Locations Fees & Processing Fees)

From 7 up to 5 days: The Filmmakers may cancel their booking up to 5 days prior to the shooting start time and receive a 80% refund of the Booking Price (excluding Filming Locations Fees & Processing Fees)

From 5 up to 3 days: The Filmmakers may cancel their booking up to 3 days prior to the shooting start time and receive a 70% refund of the Booking Price (excluding Filming Locations Fees & Processing Fees)

From 3 up to 2 days: The Filmmakers may cancel their booking up to 48 hours prior to the shooting start time and receive a full 60% refund of the Booking Price (excluding Filming Locations Fees & Processing Fees)

From 2 up to 1 day: The Filmmakers may cancel their booking up to 24 hours prior to the shooting start time and receive a full 50% refund of the Booking Price (excluding Filming Locations Fees & Processing Fees)

Less than 24 hours: Cancellation of the booking submitted less than 24 hours prior to the shooting start time is non-refundable.

 

Cancellations of Booking that applies to Hosts

Production is a process that requires a lot of logistically many man-hours of paid production work and considerable amounts of money for location fees and/or permits have been invested in the chosen Location. A Host may be liable for costs, expenses, and other losses, and be subject to Penalties, if they make unexcused Host-initiated cancellations. In the event of Host-initiated cancellations, the following will apply:

(i) Any Host-initiated cancellations will be fully refunded to the Filmmaker (including any Fees paid).

A Host cancelling the Booking will be responsible for losses incurred by Filming Locations or the Filmmaker associated with any cancellation, and all scheduled payouts for that Booking will be cancelled. In addition, Filming Locations may issue Fines to Hosts for cancellations.

Filming Locations may deduct or debit any Fines from amounts that would otherwise be payable, or (ii) invoice such Fines to be paid within seven (7) days. Host only may cancel the booking without fines if information provided by Filmmaker was false or occurs the Shoot may lead to damaging the Location (materially can affect the Location), misses of the Location or if any Justified and Accepted Cancellations.

 

Justified and Accepted Cancellations

The Cancellation of the Booking requested by Host or Filmmaker can be accepted by us and fully refunded with FL credit when:

1. Accidental death or severe disease/injury of a Host or Filmmaker or family member occurs.

2. Natural Disasters and emergencies, severe weather conditions that may cause damage to a Location or inability to reach it.

3. Government restriction or prohibitions, circumstances arising out of public

disturbance, curfew, royal demise.

4. Unsafeness of the Location that caused by unexpected damages, or maintenance issue; municipality restrictions.

Filming Locations will be required to provide evidence if any of the above occurs.

Cancellation for Justified and Accepted Cancellations shall be refunded strictly with Filming Locations’ credit to be set off against a further Booking.

 

Cancellations of Booking by Filming Locations

Filming Locations may cancel the Booking if decides to deactivate Host’s Account or the Filmmaker or Host violated any of FLSA. Reasons - production misrepresents itself regarding its activities, intended use of the Location, damages the property or negligently causes other problems for the property owner.

Cancellation of Recce

Up to 24hours: The Filmmaker may cancel scheduled Recce up to 24 hours prior to the recce arrangement time and receive a 50% refund (equals AED 250) of the Recce Fees.

Less than 24 hours: Cancellation of the Recce submitted less than 24 hours prior to the recce arrangement time is non-refundable.

 

Rescheduling

Rescheduling of a Booking

The Filmmaker has a right to reschedule the Booking only once per Shoot of the same duration or more. If the rescheduled Shoot appears to be with longer duration the Booking will require additional relevant payment. The Rescheduling has to be done no later than 48 hours before shooting start time. Rescheduling could be done by using Contact Us or Whatsapp Chat Box on our Platform. The Rescheduling is not refundable once is approved by Filming Locations.

 

Rescheduling of a Recce

The Rescheduling has to be done no later than 24 hours before recce arrangement time. If Filming Locations did not receive any notice about rescheduling or the Filmmaker did not appear on time at the agreed location the Recce Fees will be not refundable.
